Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Felicity. I’ve always had a love for fashion, learning to sew at an early age and creating my first dress at 15. Initially, I wasn’t drawn to becoming a designer—I was far more inspired by the art of styling and bringing a whole look together. After completing my fashion degree, I began assisting stylists before establishing myself in the field, working with clients such as Angelina Jolie, Sting, Il Divo, Helene Fischer, and many more. Throughout those years as a stylist, I travelled extensively across the world—an experience that not only shaped my eye for style but also ignited a lasting passion for travel.

This all changed when I became a mother to a beautiful son who needed extra support. After he was diagnosed with autism, I made the decision to step away from styling to focus on being fully present for him. As he grew older and more independent, I found myself with time to explore again. I retrained as a personal trainer — a role that fitted around my family life — but it never gave me true fulfilment like my fashion career.  

Then about a year ago, while planning a two-week holiday to Thailand with only hand luggage, I realised how limited the options were for versatile, stylish pieces that could take me seamlessly from day to night. That moment became a spark of inspiration as I realised I could bring together my love of fashion, travel, and styling to create something truly meaningful. So, I took a leap of faith back into the world of fashion. That leap became Shorebirds.

My debut collection of six pieces has been thoughtfully designed to transition effortlessly from day to evening. Each look comes with styling inspiration to show how a single dress can be worn in multiple ways—perfect for keeping your packing light while ensuring your holiday wardrobe feels stylish, versatile, and confidence-boosting wherever your travels take you.
